Ulfah Arts, UK and DAM Festival, Kosovo Presents

100 women from five UK cities will be the source of inspiration for a Kosovan music Composer commissioned by Ulfah Arts to create a musical story telling concert. We want the women to share the most heroic, historic and humorous stories from the Holy Quran or Hadiths at a workshop taking place near you.

The conversations and stories will form the basis of a musical concert telling these stories using a variety of musical genres from Classical, Jazz and experimental music, performed by a specially selected ensemble in Kosovo and in UK in 2010. We aim for the production to tour world wide, sharing the message that Muslim women are at the forefront in making music, innovating, and collaborating, pioneering music for all to enjoy.
